Employee Benefit (ERISA) Claims

Reid and Riege lawyers advise clients who are involved in benefits-related controversies ranging from routine claim disputes to federal agency investigations and fiduciary related litigation.  We represent plan sponsors, financial institutions, health organizations, trade associations, and other clients in a wide range of employee benefits disputes.

Recent representative engagements include controversies stemming from the preemption, prudence, and prohibited transaction provisions of ERISA.  In connection with the substantive and tax considerations presented under Internal Revenue Code Section 409A, we anticipate an increase in the volume of lawsuits involving non-qualified deferred compensation arrangements.
